С тех пор как весной 2006 года команду возглавил Александр Смагин, «Ижсталь» неизменно показывала стабильно высокие результаты. В минувшем сезоне ситуация резко изменилась.
МИСТИКА
За четыре года под управлением Смагина «Ижсталь» выиграла Кубок Федерации хоккея России, одержала две победы в регулярных дивизионных турнирах чемпионата Высшей лиги, еще один раз была третьей. Дважды за это время играла в четвертьфиналах плей-офф, в 2007 году участвовала в матчах за бронзовые награды Высшей лиги.
Вряд ли кто-то на старте прошлогоднего сезона мог предположить, что окончание чемпионата ВХЛ образца-2010/11 для ижевского хоккейного клуба окажется столь плачевным. Казалось, начало не предвещало ничего экстраординарного. До конца декабря «Ижсталь» вполне справлялась с поставленной задачей, удерживая за собой третью позицию в турнирной таблице.
Что случилось во второй половине чемпионата, не поддается никакому логическому объяснению и даже для многих специалистов остается загадкой. В последовавшем затяжном кризисе, из которого команда так и не смогла выбраться, в 22 матчах «Ижсталь» набрала всего 8 (!) очков, установив тем самым своеобразный антирекорд ижсталевской хоккейной истории. В итоге «Ижсталь» с 69-ю очками заняла последнее место в конференции «Восток» и впервые за последние пять лет не попала в плей-офф.
КОНКУРСНЫЙ РУЛЕВОЙ
В марте руководство хоккейного клуба «Ижсталь», которое признало результат неудовлетворительным, объявило конкурс на замещение вакантной должности главного тренера. Заявки на участие подали 14 претендентов. Авторитетная комиссия, приняв во внимание высокую эффективность тренерской работы Николая Мышагина, сделало выбор в пользу его кандидатуры. И уже в начале мая заслуженный тренер Казахстана подписал контракт с ижевским клубом на два года.
«Мне приятно, что руководители хоккейного клуба из большого числа кандидатов остановили свой выбор именно на мне, - прокомментировал свое назначение Николай Мышагин. - Победить в этом конкурсе весьма престижно. Для меня «Ижсталь», которую я хорошо знаю с 1977 года, всегда была авторитетной и самобытной командой. Поэтому работа в Ижевске - это новый карьерный вызов, первостепенной задачей которого станет выход команд в розыгрыш плей-офф».
Последние два года Николай Мышагин возглавлял команду первой лиги - уссурийское «Приморье». Под его началом дальневосточная команда дважды выиграла первенство региона «Сибирь - Дальний Восток», а в нынешнем сезоне завоевала серебряные медали финального турнира первенства России среди клубных команд. В помощники главному тренеру были определены: один из перспективных тренеров казанской СДЮСШОР «Ак Барс» Андрей Зубков, которому предполагается все силы сконцентрировать на работе с защитниками, а также сын главного тренера Николай Мышагин - он будет помогать отцу в работе с нападающими.
КЕМ БУДЕМ ИГРАТЬ?
Из прежнего состава в команде остались 12 хоккеистов: вратарь Юрий Лаврецкий, защитники Кирилл Гаврилычев, Ильназ Загитов, Андрей Перевозчиков, Сергей Кощеев, Станислав Тунхузин, нападающие Константин Абрамов, Сергей Кочетков, Денис Полюдов, Андрей Рукин, Дмитрий Холодков, Михаил Яковлев. В основном это опытные игроки, которые на сегодняшний день составляют костяк команды.
Главным трансферным событием в ижевском хоккейном клубе можно считать возвращение в родную команду нападающего Игоря Васильева (предыдущий клуб - «Приморье» Уссурийск), защитников Ивана Вологжанина (ХК «Метц», Франция) и Юрия Маслова («Алматы», Казахстан), а также понятную миграцию в столицу Удмуртии лучших игроков команды «Приморье» из Уссурийска защитников Александра Асанова, Александра Медведева, Сергея Парфирьева, нападающих Дениса Кочнева, Антона Буренина, Михаила Кривули и Дмитрия Ларионова. К тренировкам подключены и игроки фарм-клуба: защитник Григорий Глебов, нападающий Кирилл Пойлов.
НОВЫЙ СЕЗОН – НОВАЯ ЖИЗНЬ
Именно под этим девизом «Ижсталь» вступает в новый хоккейный год. Каждому члену коллектива, тем самым, предоставляется кредит доверия, возможность заиграть на ином, чем прежде, профессиональном уровне.
Предсезонную подготовку к чемпионату ВХЛ «Ижсталь» начала 16 июля тренировочными сборами в Елабуге. Программа, расписанная по минутам, насыщенна до предела. Каждый день по четыре тренировки. Первые четыре дня команда занималась «на земле» и в тренажерном зале, а с 20 июля приступила и к ледовым тренировкам.
В августе «Ижсталь» кроме тренировочного процесса планирует провести несколько товарищеских матчей: с «Торосом» в Нефтекамске (3-4 августа), командами «Лада» (5-6 августа) и «Сокол» (15-16 августа) в Ижевске, а также выступит в домашнем мемориальном турнире памяти Василия Тарасова (25-28 августа).
ЗАДАЧИ ЯСНЫ
Непосредственную задачу на сезон руководство «Ижстали» поставит перед хоккейным коллективом, как обычно, на собрании в канун чемпионата, однако уже сейчас с определенной долей вероятности можно предсказать, что главными тезисами будут возвращение доверия болельщиков, достижение качества игры, которое позволит команде вернуть утраченные позиции среди лидеров ВХЛ.
Что касается конкретики, то традиционные задачи команды в последние годы были неизменны: занять в регулярном турнире место в четверке сильнейших команд конференции, а в плей-офф как минимум пройти во второй раунд.
Первые четыре игры чемпионата ВХЛ сезона-2011/12 ижсталевцы проведут на выезде: 12 сентября подопечные Николая Мышагина сыграют в Челябинске против «Мечела», 14 сентября в Орске против «Южного Урала», 16 сентября против «Рубина» в Тюмени, 18 сентября в Кургане против «Зауралья». Первый домашний матч состоится 22 сентября, в этот вечер «Ижсталь» проэкзаменует команду ХК ВМФ из Санкт-Петербурга.
